While this is happening, we are currently experiencing an ongoing struggle in aligning our sense of purpose and our mission with our higher selves–not realizing that we are avoiding our own destiny. A destiny in creating something tangible, taking on a position of leadership, or claiming authority. 

This dynamic is brought to us in the form of a tight T-Square (image above, in red) from the lunar nodes to Pallas Athena at 3° Capricorn until December 11th. The North Node of the Moon represents the destiny of where we are heading during this lifetime and the South Node of the Moon represents previous versions of ourselves, or experiences that we have had in the past. These experiences include past lives. Pallas Athena, an asteroid named after the goddess of wisdom, strategy and pattern recognition, is at the culmination of this powerful but challenging T-Square aspect.

The lunar nodes at early degrees (3°) of fire sign Aries and air sign Libra is an energizing combination that fuels a budding desire to create. The creation, though, might not come without some sweat and discomfort. With Pallas Athena being at the early degrees of earth sign Capricorn, the creation could come in the form of:

• Taking responsibility for oneself

• Positioning oneself as an authority who is knowledgeable in a specific area

• Becoming a pioneer in a niche market

• Creating a business plan to become your own boss

• Developing further knowledge or ‘upskilling’ to be promoted to a higher position

• Challenging oneself, possibly in partnership with a coach or teacher

Mercury ends its retrograde and stations direct on December 15th. Considering the two-week retrograde shadow period that follows, it will be much easier to carry out plans after that date, towards the end of the month and first week of January. Any announcements or travel plans that seemed to be muffled for the past two weeks or so, will be given free reign to be delivered. However, not all messages will be well-received. 

At the moment Mercury moves forward again, it will be part of a Grand Fire Trine Kite pointing to the Pluto-Venus conjunction in Aquarius (image above, in blue). Venus in this placement, to me, does not evoke all things love and pleasure. Instead, it is packed with an unsatiated desire for control and a cry for attention. Powered by a full moon in Gemini earlier in the day, this could manifest as:

• The channelling of anger and incitement through social media, mass media and broadcasting airwaves in general

• The decline of celebrity status

• Disenfranchised citizens expressing rage toward the governing bodies of organizations where there are many members (e.g. insurance companies, mortgage companies, banks)

• Homesteaders resenting the ‘collective’ and expressing distrust of how we will move ahead

• Resistance of personal development and individual growth as part of the aforementioned collective

• Self-righteous people imposing their views and those efforts backfiring, increasing pushback

• Nationalism and desire to protect one’s home country and heritage.

• Protecting one’s sense of individualism

All of this energy reaches a crescendo in late February when Mars stations direct in Cancer with a calming down of the flare-up in March. A fire has been blazing, but it’s not the kind of fire that supports any real progress. As part of the process of evolution, this conflagration will die down and begin anew with a fresh perspective and renewed sense of purpose to come in 2025.
